These are nice bags.  I heat seal them with an impulse sealer and they generally open without tearing.  Shelf life seems fine.  I've used nearly a thousand so far and recently reordered.
UPDATE:  I have been using these for quite some time.  Always great quality.  I now use a band sealer with excellent results.  Shelf life is very good.

The 14" bags I ordered are of great quality. They actually hold up to 10 cups of popcorn.
The EZ-Peel part of the description is supposed to imply opening after Heat sealing.  The description does not include "Heat sealing" until the bottom of the paragraph. Thanks a prompt shipment.
