I am using your bags to advance a technique popular in hiking circles - freezer bag cooking.  Freezer bags are heavy and not endorsed by the largest maker (SCJ) for use with hot water.  These liners don't have a zipper, but in every other way are an outstanding alternative.  For more on what I am doing, see http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/zipbag
(last page).  For more on the technique (with zip bags) see http://www.trailcooking.com/trail-cooking-101/freezer-bag-cooking-101

The only nit I have is shipping costs - I paid significantly more for shipping than for the product, and there seems to be no good reason for it.  The shipping documents listed the weight as 31lbs for an item that actually weighed about 3lbs (excessively) packed.  Just a nit, the bags themselves are super, and I am recommending them to other hikers.
